The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council is at it again with their annual summertime musical.
This year's production is Rodger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella.
Director Al Keefer says the audience is definitely in for a treat, saying the 45 member cast is going above and beyond.
The cast themselves say there's a little twist of humor added to the normally soft and romantic play.
"Our production staff has communicated very well that they want, especially the step-family, that they really want to up the comedy. This is a family show, they want people to laugh," said MJ Webster, playing the part of Step-Sister.
"Even though a lot of the stuff I say is really mean as the step-mom, at the same time there's a lot of humor behind what I say as well," said Kristen Halsey, playing the part of Step-Mom.
"I think the director and a lot of the cast have done a really good job of capturing just people in every-day life moments," said Melissa Bursack, playing the part of the second Step-Sister.
The show takes place at the Vista Theater in Negaunee August 14, 15, 16, & 17 and 21, 22, 23, and 24.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for high school and under.
