      Palmer thieves believed to be involved in auto thefts

      Chevrolet Silverado that has been linked to the Marquette County robbery of in Palmer

      The Marquette County Sheriffâ??s office continues the investigation of the above incident from November 18 at Fran's Service Station in Palmer.

      Deputies have been working with deputies from the Dickinson County Sheriffâ??s office in Iron Mountain and the Marinette County Sheriffâ??s office in Wisconsin, on possible connections to crimes or evidence in these counties.

      Marinette County is investigating the theft of a 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup, blue and silver in color, reported stolen on November 16, 2012. At the time of the theft, the truck had a red topper over the bed of the truck, and there was a handgun in the vehicle.

      The Dickinson County Sheriffâ??s office recovered the Silverado stolen out of Marinette County, without the topper, on November 19.

      The topper and the handgun remain missing. About the same time on November 19, a vehicle which had been reported stolen out of Felch in Dickinson County was recovered in Marinette County, WI.

      Both stolen vehicles were processed for evidence in Dickinson County with the assistance of deputies from Marquette and Marinette Counties.
