The annual Seafood Fest event in Houghton is coming up in June, and on Thursday, some people got to preview what will be on the menu.
This year marks the 22nd annual Seafood Fest put on by the Rotary Club of Houghton. The event will be at the Houghton waterfront on June 14 and 15 with a special gala dinner on June 13. Some of the items on the gala menu include grilled swordfish and shrimp with an avocado dressing.
There will also be clam chowder, mussels, and crab throughout the weekend as well. The Rotary Club says all the money raised at the event is used to benefit the community.
"Our one and only annual fundraiser event, all the money, all the net proceeds that come out of the event, are, again, given back to the community," said Houghton Rotarian Bill Musselman.
