A Peshtigo man accused of killing his girlfriend has pled no contest to first degree intentional homicide. Brent Kaempf was charged in the stabbing death of Trish Waschbisch.
She was found dead last April in the home she shared with Kaempf. Waschbisch was the interim director at Rainbow House, a domestic violence shelter in Marinette.
According to the criminal complaint, friends told authorities Waschbisch said she was going to break up with Kaempf and that he was stalking her.
Kaempf originally pled not guilty and had been scheduled to stand trial in January. Sentencing is scheduled for January 10.
