Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will be featured in the 2015 National Parks and Federal Recreational Pass.
Essexville, Michigan native Courtney Kotewa snapped a photo with her smartphone.
She was kayaking at Pictured Rocks while on vacation with her family.
Kotewa then submitted the photo to the United States Department of Interior "Share the Experience" photo contest.
"It's on the pass in the year 2015, so it won't be printed for a number of months yet. But the publicity is out there starting yesterday. So it's just a great, great opportunity for the national lakeshore and our surrounding communities to celebrate Pictured Rocks," said Mike Pflaum, Park Superintendent.
Kotewa won $10,000, and her photo will be on every "America the Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Lands Pass" sold in the U.S.
