At the Munising Farmer's Market, the Cookin' Carberry sisters are whipping up homemade pizzas for a good cause. For the past five years, the three sisters have been donating all proceeds from their pizza making to causes they feel are worthy in the Munising area. To date they've raised more than $100,000 and this year they're on pace to raise about $15,000. Money raised during this year's pizza sales go to Valley Spur Ski Trail for the construction of a new building.
"All three of us just totally love Munising, and we realized that you can do it all by yourself and it doesn't take much and people are so giving," said Suzette Carberry. "It's been awesome and it's just such a community builder, too, because all these organizations come down and work with us."
The sisters go by the motto 'one pizza at a time'. You can find the Cookin' Carberry's at Bayshore Park Tuesdays and Thursdays during the Munising Farmer's Market, which runs from 4 to 7 p.m.
