The Shriners of the U.P. are hosting a Texas Hold'em Tournament for charity. The tournament is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, April 13 at the Masonic Building in Marquette.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. and playing begins at 6 p.m. Admission is a $20 donation, and $10 re-buys are allowed, but limited.
The money will go to local children who need medical services.
"When you see the kids who have been helped over the years, and there's thousands of them throughout the U.P., they almost always come up to you and say thank you. That's really heart-warming," said Potentate for the Ahmed Marquette Shriners, Mike Hill.
Various amounts of prize money are availible for 1st through 10th place. You must be at least 18 years old to participate.
Food and beverages will be available.
