Playoff tickets up for auction by Beacon House

      UPDATE 1-11-12 10:10 a.m.

Checker Bus has donated two free seats on the party bus to Lambeau for the high bidder. It includes the tailgate party at Brett Favre's Steakhouse restaurant.

The Beacon House has also decided to remove the minimum bid of $1,000. As of 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, the highest bid was $800.

Two tickets to the Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants play-off game this Sunday are up for grabs, and it's all for a good cause.

NFL Network contributor, analyst, and Iron Mountain native Steve Mariucci has donated the tickets to the Beacon House in Marquette to be auctioned off online. The game is at 4:30 p.m. eastern time in Green Bay. The minimum bid for both tickets is set at $1,000. The Beacon House plans to use the proceeds to make their rooms handicap accessible, and says this donation will make a big difference to their organization.

"We just feel like Steve Mariucci is Beacon House's best friend right now, always supportive; everyday that goes by seems like he does something more for us," said Beacon House Director of Development, Mary Dowling.

If the Packers win the playoff game, Mariucci has also pledged to donate tickets to the championship game. Bids for the playoff game must be placed by noon on Friday. To bid on line click here.
