A 28-year-old man was taken into custody on Monday for allegedly exposing himself to two women on the bike path between Wright Street and Fair Avenue, and police believe this wasn't the first time.
At around 3:15 p.m. on Monday a woman contacted police, stating that she had been walking down the bike path when she saw a man coming out of the woods exposing himself. Chase Walker Rowe was taken into custody by Marquette police after a search near the incident.
Police say that they discovered Rowe in a garage on West Avenue. He told police that he was doing landscaping chores for the property owner, but police say that the statements were found to be false after contacting the owner.
The victim that first contacted police stated that she saw another person on the bike path that witnessed the man. Both victims were taken to where Rowe was in custody and positively identified him.
Police say that Rowe is possibly responsible for other indecent exposure incidents this summer in that area. Rowe is facing a charge of indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person, which is a felony with a penalty of one day to life in prison. He will be in court on Monday, August 5 at 8:15 a.m.
Rowe recently moved to Marquette and is originally from Texas.
