The Michigan State Police has identified a man that was arrested earlier this week as 64-year-old Clyde J. Hardwick of Rapid River.
Hardwick was arrested on Wednesday night after police say they discovered a marijuana growing operation when responding to a report of domestic violence in Masonville Township. Police say that Hardwick was stabbed by his 20-year-old stepdaughter during an alleged domestic violence incident.
The Michigan State Police stated that the stepdaughter was possibly acting in self defense.
Hardwick was arraigned in court on Thursday and is officially being charged with domestic violence and manufacturing marijuana. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 5 at 9 a.m.
