Police investigate armed robbery at convenience store

A man entered the Country Convenience Store in Stephenson on Sunday with a handgun and told the only employee working at the time that he wanted all of the store's money.

The Marinette County Sheriff's Office said the armed robbery happened at 12:30 p.m.

The sheriff's department said the man ran from the store and took an undetermined amount of cash.

Sheriff's Deputies used a K-9 to track the suspect, but deputies said the man most likely left the area in a vehicle. Deputies do not know what type of vehicle the suspect was driving.

The suspect is described as a 6 foot tall white male, 190-210 pounds. He was wearing a baseball hat with a red bandana covering most of his face. He was also wearing large sunglasses, gloves, a long-sleeve blue shirt and blue jeans.

The robbery is still under investigation. No one was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call the Marinette County Sheriff's Office at (715) 732-7626 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-427-5857.
