Two men are in custody after a police investigation in Ontonagon County.
Michigan State Police troopers from the Wakefield Post were investigating several breaking and enterings in the area. During the investigation, information was given to them about a suspect in Matchwood Township in Ontonagon County, who may have stolen property in his possession.
Warrants were issued for his arrest and to conduct a search of his residence. Police took the 34-year-old suspect into custody on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.
During the search of his residence, a 33-year-old man was also taken into custody on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.
Both men were taken to the Ontonagon County Jail on $50,000 bonds. Their names are being withheld pending arraignment.
