POLL - Repealing the tanning tax
It's been a year since a 10 percent tax was placed on tanning under President Obama's Health Care Law.
Many locally-owned salons feared the worst with the new legislation, and it appears as if some of those fears have been realized. Utopia tanning owner, Curtis Hewitt, says the tan tax has made him increase prices by 10 percent. As a result, he says, sales have dropped 30 percent in the last year.
The salon and its supporters are asking legislators to repeal the act. They say it's not just about tanning, it's about over-taxing small business.
Tonight in the Pulse, we're wondering: Would you be in favor of repealing the 10 percent tax on tanning? Yes or no?
Vote in the poll below, then be sure to watch your FOX UP News Thursday night at 10/9c for the final results.
