Poll: Approve of President Bush more?
A new Gallup poll shows Americans now have a more favorable view of former President George W. Bush.
Forty-nine percent have a positive opinion of the two-term Republican president, while 46 percent feel the opposite. Those are numbers that haven't been seen since 2005.
The survey was conducted before reports emerged last week of government surveillance programs, some of which began under the Bush administration.
Presidents generally see their numbers improve the longer they are out of office.
Gallup numbers show presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton all had favorable ratings over 60 percent when last measured.
Tonight the Daily Pulse we're wondering: Has your opinion of former President George W. Bush improved since he left office? Yes or no? Why or why?
