Poll: Trucking Regulations
New Federal rules could create a serious shortage of truckers.
Beginning July 1, truck drivers cannot drive more than 70 hours in seven days.
They had previously been allowed to drive 82 hours. The trucking industry is already suffering from a high turnover rate and worker shortage.
Analysts predict reducing hours could create a need for an additional 100,000 drivers.
Tonight in the Daily Pulse we're wondering: Do you support new laws preventing truckers from driving more than 70 hours in seven days? Yes or no? Why or why not?
