The Manistique man and woman facing arson charges were originally scheduled to appear at Schoolcraft District Court on Wednesday.
At the request of prosecuting attorney Tim Noble, the preliminary exam has been postponed for 36-year-old Karen Anne MacDonald and 18-year-old Christopher Krummich.
The two adults are each facing one count of arson of an insured dwelling and one count of conspiracy to commit arson of an insured dwelling. Each of these charges carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The fire occurred at 115 North Fourth Street in Manistique on June 12. The house was owned by MacDonald.
No further appearance dates have been set for either MacDonald or Krummich.
