The Iron County Fair in Iron River is this weekend. Livestock competitors and vendors began getting ready Wednesday.
Carnival attractions and vendors were setting up their booths at the fairgrounds. Livestock competitors are getting ready for judging on Friday at 9 a.m. The livestock auction will be taking place on Saturday at 2 p.m. and even the youngest are excited.
"I'll go into the ring and we'll go around in circles, and then the judge will tell us to come into the middle," says first time competitor Rayven Jacobson. "He'll point where to go. Then you stand there, he comes around and he asks you questions. He's feeling your lamb to feel how the muscles and stuff are."
A season's pass for the fair is $5. Walk-ins are $1 a day.
