Pine Mountain Ski Resort is gearing up for its annual ski jumping competition in Iron Mountain. The resort is celebrating its 75th year of hosting the event. Festivities begin on February 6 when fans have an opportunity to meet the skiers.
So far six different countries have confirmed that they are sending skiers to Pine Mountain; more will be announced within the next week.
"The other countries are currently selecting their Olympic teams, and once that's established, they will figure out which skiers are coming here to Iron Mountain," said Butch Hiatt of the Kiwanis Ski Club.
Competitions will be held February 7-9. Tickets are available through the Dickinson Area Partnership.
