After nearly two decades in business, The Studio Gallery at Presque Isle is closing its doors for good on Friday.
For 17 years, nine local artists have used the gallery to display their artwork, which ranges from water paintings to wood sculptures.
Owners of the studio say the venue has attracted a nationwide following over the years. The business is fronted by three partners, including award-winning artist Kathleen Conover.
Conover says she and the other two owners are ready to embark on new adventures.
"I have a favorite quote, 'Life is change and growth is optional,'" said Kathleen Conover, Studio Galley owner.
Conover says she hopes another gallery will move in to the building, but if a buyer does not come around, she will use the building as her own personal studio space.
