      Prosecutor reviews fatal police shooting

The Marquette County Prosecuting Attorney's Office released its review of the fatal shooting of Lori L. Lee that happened last week in Humboldt Township.

The prosecutor's office says that no criminal charges are warranted involving the shooting of Lee, who police say aimed a rifle at them when they responded to a domestic dispute call. The Marquette County Prosecutor's Office believes that the officers were justified in their actions.

According to police, Lee refused to lower her firearm when instructed to do so by the Michigan State Police trooper and Marquette County Sheriff's deputy that responded to the call. She received a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Marquette County Medical Examiner.
