Hockeypalooza has returned to Munising. Sunday, the Munising Hockey Association held a fundraiser to help support the league at the Alger Centennial Arena.
Admission was free, but there were plenty of raffles and contests for spectators to get involved to donate to the association. The day featured a series of games that took teams from the association and put them up against their parents as well as a few of the Marquette Royales.
"There's fewer and fewer kids here playing, and we're just trying to get more people involved. The kids are having a ball out there. The parents are having fun; it's just getting more people to enjoy the sport," said Kristina Hakkola, proud parent of a hockey player.
In between games, fans attempted to see who could throw a puck closest to center ice. Other fans had an opportunity to pie anybody that they wanted.
