After Governor Snyder stopped at Enstrom Helicopter Corp. on Friday morning, he headed to Downtown Menominee for the Historic Downtown Revitalization Celebration. Citizens and business leaders gathered outside the historic Lloyd/FNT (Fish, Net and Twine) Building on First Street, where a redevelopment project will soon begin.
Built in 1926, the four floor structure has sat empty since FNT left in 2006. Soon it will house apartments as well as commercial and community space. This work will create 66 jobs.
A development group from Ohio is behind the $11 million project. It is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
