Commotion filled downtown Manistique on Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't just from roaring engines. Every year these shiny suped-up spectacles draw in close to 2,000 people.
"A lot of people, when they're growing up as kids, remember these cars that their parents, uncles and grandparents use to have," said Ishpeming resident Brad Perala.
Manistique??s Merchants Car Show had everything from 100-year-old cars to ones worth $100,000, sure to catch any eyes.
"People come back every year because it's one of the best shows they??ve ever been to," said Al Levine, one of the coordinators.
Darrell Dixson, a Delta County resident, felt the atmosphere is also what draws the thousands to the annual event.
"It??s always welcoming and it??s something to look forward to every year," expressed Dixson. "And the weather is definitely great."??
