Biologists with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources continue to investigate another wolf attack in the Copper Country.
A retired sled dog was killed on Tuesday in Atlantic Mine, according to the DNR. The report filed says that tracks were found for one wolf, and the owner of the dog has not seen wolves in the area before.
Further information will be released as the investigation continues, but the DNR did report that one wolf, which had killed another dog in the same area, was destroyed by the owner.
The permit issued to that person is still good, and there's a chance that this second problem wolf will be removed by that person.
