The storm on Black Friday sent several motorists in the ditch and frustrated many others.
Some have criticized the Marquette County Road Commission for its handling of the road maintenance. The commission says their staff of 25 full-time and 24 part-time employees had been working round the clock with 12 hour shifts. They also say they have the team they need and the resources to take on the formidable U.P. winters. But they're asking for patience on the part of motorists.
"Once we get into winter, temperatures come down, everybody gets into a routine driving on it, and it becomes a lot more routine, and we don't receive that many complaints," said Mike Harrington of the Marquette County Road Commission.
