The Rock Lions Club will hold its 1st Annual Country Fair and Classic Car Show this Saturday, June 29.
A day of food, fun, music and games is planned for kids of all ages. There will be homemade crafts, jams, jellies, baked goods and pickled items, and a taste testing contest with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, in each category.
The fair coordinators are accepting entries up until the morning of the fair. Judging will take place at 10 a.m. The exhibits will then be open to the public starting at 11 a.m. Participants may display their own handiwork.
There will be approximately 30 vendors on the grounds in a flea market-style of craft and edible items tables.
There will also be a Classic Car Show with trophy awards at 3 p.m. 'Yooper Olympic' games, such as Hub Cap Discus, Yooper Bowling, Horseshoes and Tug of War, are planned. There will also be sack races, penny scramble and a Candy Count contest for children. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded for each event.
Food vendors will serve hot food. There will also be a bake sale and cotton candy and ice cream floats.
Admission is one dollar per person. Children under three are free. All children's games are free with the admission price.
There is still time to register your handiwork, homemade edibles or classic car in the show.
The Rock Lions Club 1st Annual Country Fair and Classic Car Show is sponsored by the Rock Lions Club and the Rock Senior Center.
