Runners came from all over to run in the 37th annual Pictured Rocks Road Race Sunday morning in Munising.
Friends and families cheered runners as they competed in the 5K and half marathon races. Others decided just to walk the course. This year, proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association. The race started outside Mustang Stadium at 8 a.m. Sunday. I t covered a variety of terrain, including roads, hills, forests, and the lakeshore.
The weather was chilly and rainy, but that didn't slow anyone down.
"The runners love this kind of temperature," said Ruth Almen of the Alzheimer's Association. "It's really perfect, so they like a little rain, a little bit of cool, so the numbers have been great."
From children to senior citizens, there were around 250 registrants this year.
