A boater was rescued Tuesday near Picnic Rocks in Marquette after his sailboat lost power.
The sailor was stranded, unable to bring his boat to shore, and was in danger of drifting farther out because of Tuesday's rough waters.
The U.S. Coast Guard ventured out around four this afternoon... shortly after they lost contact with the boater on the radio, and saw a flare go up on the lake.
The Coast Guard was able to tow the man and his sailboat to safety to the Coast Guard Marina.
The man aboard was alone, and is uninjured.
