The Dickinson County Sheriff's Department has expanded their office space to include an area in the North Dickinson County School.
Staff at the school first contacted the sheriff's department asking if they would like to use space in their school for a remote office. The department gladly accepted the offer, and while there aren't yet set hours, they are using the space to expand their county services.
"They have full access to our office, 24 hours a day," said Superintendent Angel Inglese. "Sometimes they're here during the school day when the students are here, sometimes they're here Saturday night, it just depends on when they're in the area."
School officials say they like having the added security, but are also glad North Dickinson residents can benefit from the remote office.
