The Schoolcraft County Fair brought nearly 2,000 guests to Manistique Saturday.
Those in attendance were able to enjoy a horse show, games, rides, a pagaent, and plenty of vendors.
This year's fair had rides for the first time which brought in more people.
Many of the booths were run by kids who were selling items they made as part of the summer camp that goes on at the fairgrounds.
â??It is an opportunity to come together and really support the kids and what they have doneâ?? said Deb Gierke, the fair manager. â??From the schools I collected a lot of their art projects throughout the year and they have displayed them in the two rooms here so the kids can show their grandparents, friends and such.â??
Those in charge of running the fair noted this year drew the biggest turnout in the past ten years.
