On Saturday, over 50 Boy Scouts took their imaginations to a whole different level. They had to complete a bunch of Hobbit-inspired missions together including a sleepy river of forgetfulness, which they could not fall into.
It was all for their Klondike Derby. The event is held every year to get kids outside enjoying the outdoors.
"I'm having a good time," said Julian Beltz, 13, with Troop 302. "We had to walk across here and do different challenges and think outside the box."
Troop leaders say it also helps scouts learn to work together.
