Sentencing delayed for home invasion suspect

A Marquette man is having his sentence delayed on a home invasion charge.

Twenty year old Douglas John Fitzpatrick was sentenced to nine months in jail Friday.

However, the judge in Marquette County Circuit Court, deferred most of the sentence, and referred Fitzpatrick to a residential treatment facility.

He was given credit for 67 days already served in jail. Fitzpatrick will also spend two years on probation.

He plead no contest to third degree home invasion. He stole property from a home, he was visiting.
