The 2011 Jackpine 30 sled dog race that is normally sceduled to run from Gwinn to Marquette was shortened this year.

Due to trail conditions and safety concerns, the six-dog Jack Pine 30 Sled Dog Race course was revised just prior to the start of the race.

The shortened race, approximately 18 miles in length, followed an alternative route out of Gwinn and finished near Lindberg's Gravel Pit, just south of County Road 480 in Sands Township.

Thirteen teams started and finished the race on fast, challenging trails. Two mushers who had registered for the race decided not run. Unofficial results are as follows.
