A Negaunee man is recovering after an auto crash on Monday night.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Department was called out to Marquette County Road 510, about a half mile north of Hardwood Lane, at 10:55 p.m. Monday.
The 53-year-old Negaunee man, identified as Joseph Mackey, apparently lost control of his pickup truck as he was traveling north on the road. The 2000 Toyota Tacoma went off the east shoulder and then struck a tree.
Mackey, the only occupant in the truck, was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He has since been treated for head injuries and released.
At this time, the crash is still being investigated. Police believe that alcohol is a factor in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were members of the Michigan State Police, MGH EMS, and Negaunee Township Fire and Rescue 131.
