Six people were arrested in Iron County after a drug bust by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team involving heroin, illegal mushrooms, marijuana and illegal prescription drugs.
Officials say that they executed a search warrant of a residence on 10th Avenue in Iron River on Tuesday. During the search they discovered four grams of heroin, evidence of drug packaging and distribution, $1,600 in cash and various illegal drugs.
The owner of the home, 31-year-old Joseph Baclich Jr., was arrested and is facing charges for delivery of heroin, according to UPSET.
Several other suspects were arrested in connection to heroin and prescription drugs. Michael Glen Walsh, 28, of Iron River was arrested on a charge of delivering heroin. Cami Fittante, 19, of Iron River is facing charges of using heroin and possession of marijuana. Amy Marcell, 38, of Iron River was arrested for delivery of drugs and possession. Rhonda Nichols, 31, of Caspian was arrested on two counts of delivering heroin, and 28-year-old Elizabeth Clements of Caspian is facing a charge of delivering a schedule II drug.
UPSET officials say that further arrests and charges are still pending. All suspects were arraigned in court on Wednesday.
