Six new inductees for the National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame

Members from the National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum in Ishpeming will induct six new, legendary skiers and snow boarders into the hall of fame rolodex this weekend. Each of the six new inductees have received various awards and accolades for their participation in the sport on both a national and international level.

This term's inductees include Kirsten Clark, Wayne Wong, Hans Geier, Craig Kelly, Jeremy Bloom and Horst Abraham. Hall of fame President, Tom West, says this event is important in order to bring the athletes to "the birthplace of organized skiing" in the United States. "What we're doing is we are bringing to the city world champions, Olympians and people who have made extraordinary achievements in ski sports which is part of Ishpeming history. We bring them back here to let them experience the hall of fame where their records of achievement are going to be permanently preserved," said West.

We will be live streaming coverage of induction ceremony on our website here. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
