There's nothing quite like a day of cross country skiing followed by eating and warming up by a fire. That's what skiers had an opportunity to do Saturday at the Taste and Glide on the Valley Spur Ski Trails in Munising.
For $20, folks could ski, snowshoe, and eat all they wanted on the trails.
Sydney's in Munising supplied the food for everyone. Skiers also listened to live entertainment as they ate their food.
"This is just to get people out here that might normally not come to Valley Spur, get a little taste of the skiing out here and hopefully tell their friends and come back next year and come back other days," said Peggy Carberry, President of the Friends of Valley Spur.
Proceeds from the event go toward the Friends of Valley Spur and use the money to groom the trails. The Valley Spur Ski Trails do not use government money and rely on donations to keep the trails groomed.
