Part of the Girl Scout promise is to help people at all times.
On Saturday, some scouts were upholding that promise by raising s'moa money for a good cause.
They were selling their famous cookies at the Midas in Escanaba. But the money raised from their batches will go to adopt a family for Christmas. The girls will talk to local agencies to find a family in need and help make their Christmas wishes come true."Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but buy some cookiesâ?|support me maybe," Keara Aderman sung, a hip twist on Carly Rae Jepsenâ??s "Call Me Maybe".Her song must be working because they already exceeded their $500 goal. They girls are up to $800 and still selling strong. If you don't have any cookies yet, the scouts will continue to sell cookies around the Escanaba area through the end of the month or click here for the girl scout website .
