More than 700 kids traveled to Marquette this past weekend to play in the 17th annual Superior Dome Soccer Tournament.
Forty-four traveled from all around Michigan and Wisconsin to compete. The tournament is organized through the Superiorland Soccer Association. Teams of all boys and all girls competed against each other according to age divisions. Winning teams are determined by a point system.
All money raised from sales and admission goes right back to the teams to cover registration and travel costs.
"All of our coaches are very happy and pleased with the way the tournament's been running. Our games are getting started on time, and everybody seems to enjoy the dome and just the beautiful atmosphere," said tournament director, Amy Niemi.
The tournament continues next weekend with older teams.
