Saturday is the start of the 19th annual Superior Dome Soccer Tournament.
Seven teams from Wisconsin and Michigan will travel to Marquette to compete in the youth soccer matches this weekend. The tournament runs two weekends and the director says it's a one of a kind event for soccer players in the region.
"This is the only indoor tournament in a dome in the entire state of Michigan," said tournament director Amy Niemi. "It's opening season for everyone as far as travel players go. There's still snow outside, no fields to play on, so it's perfect that we could have the dome to play in."
The second round of the tournament starts the weekend of April 25. The first game is this Saturday at noon.
