      Social Media helps Historical Society Connect with Public

      T he Schoolcraft County Historical Society is coming up with new ways to connect with the community. The Historical Society is using social media to get their name out and communicate with the public. They are currently on Facebook and Pinterest. The Historical Society is trying to bring the history of the area into the spotlight by posting pictures and information on their pages.

      " W e need to reach people to let them know that history is here and we have to carry the mantle on to future generations, " Vice President of the Schoolcraft Historical Society Paul Walker said. "It is quite amazing that our older generations are really getting into the social media and Facebook page so they're able to take those pictures that we post daily and they pass them on to other family members."
