A stolen vehicle suspect has been taken into custody in Marinette County after a foot chase Wednesday afternoon. A sheriff's deputy saw a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle at a residence in Wausaukee.
Officers investigating the scene heard glass breaking and saw a man fleeing on foot from a garage. Authorities say the suspect ran inside a house that was occupied by a woman. She was able to get out unharmed.
Officers closed in and took 24-year-old Caleb Krippel of Wausaukee into custody. Krippel was treated at the hospital for severe cuts on his legs from going out the garage window. No officers were injured.
The Marinette County District Attorney will review the case for consideration of formal charges. The case remains under investigation.
