There may be some positive changes coming for Harvey residents who have no means of transportation.
Northern Michigan University students in the Native American Service Class are identifying issues within local Native American communities and attempting to find solutions. No transportation from Harvey into Marquette was one of them. The students will survey the public about adding bus routes and times to multiple Harvey locations which, they say, would benefit the entire community.
"Come up with possible where the stops would be for pickup and drop-off spots and from there we would decide the times and whatnot," said NMU senior, Morgan Sundberg.
Once the data is collected, it will be presented to MarqTran for future consideration.
