On Tuesday, over 60 students from Father Marquette Catholic Elementary reenacted the nativity scene in Marquette.
For many Christians during this time of year, Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus.
During the performance children sang "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World".
Many of the students said they memorized and practiced their lines at home to help them with the nativity scene. Two of the performers shared what they liked most about Tuesday's performance.
"I like when I get to have my costume on," said Lucas Belkowski.
"I like performing in front of other people, said Theresa Locke.
The annual show is in its ninth year, and the school said the goal of the performance is to help students understand and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
