It's the first day of summer! Or, at least, that's how it seems.
Our long lost friend, the sun, has finally decided to visit us again, and it's looking like he'll stick around a while.
Friday, the National Weather Service said the high temperature got up to 77 degrees! That's quite a bit warmer than the 50s and 60s we've been seeing over the last few weeks.
And many were out to enjoy the sunny skies.
"I was afraid! I've been looking at the forecast and seeing those 60s and I thought, this is my summer vacation! I came here to go to the beach and go to the park, to enjoy the lake, and I was not looking forward to doing that in 50s and 60s! So, this is a real treat!" said Amy Khan, a visitor in the Marquette area.
We can all look forward to warm sunshine and temperatures in the 80s for the rest of the weekend and part of next week, too!
