Superior Health Partners has appointed seven community and business leaders to its Board of Directors.
The new group is a partnership between Marquette General Hospital and Bell Hospital designed to keep more patients in the U.P., to create more health care jobs here, and to improve the quality of medical care in the U.P.
The seven board members are:
Robert DellAngelo, MD. He's a recently retired opthamologist on the staffs of both Bell and MGH.
John Jilbert. He's the former owner and operator of Jilbert's Dairy and a longtime civic leader.
Ron Katers. He's Bell Hospital's current Board chairman and a prominent businessman.
Tim Larson. He's the chairman of the MGH Board and a co-owner of the Ramada and Holiday Inn hotels in Marquette.
Gary Muller. He's the CEO of MGH, and he'll serve as the CEO of Superior Health Partners.
MaryAnne Shannon, RN, PhD. She's a professor and associate dean of Nursing at Lake Superior State.
Les Wong, PhD. He's the president of NMU.
