Firefighters responded to the scene of a sawmill fire on Wednesday that resulted in heavy damage to a business.
The first crews responded to the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m. to find smoke pouring out of the Superior Sawmill building with intense flames and heat. Firefighters reported not being able to get access to the building, but were able to remove wood surrounding the structure.
An employee called in the fire after noticing smoke coming from the building, located on US-41 in Trenary.
According to officials, fire crews worked for several hours fighting the blaze. The building suffered heavy damage, but no injuries have been reported.
