The name of the suspect has been released in connection with the Ford River Township stabbing that took place this past Saturday.
Thomas Roger Hanley is accused of stabbing a 44-year-old Escanaba man.
He is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon in addition to police officer assault, resist and obstruction.
The incident took place at Hanleyâ??s residence at 4477 M-35. At 8:45 p.m. a 911 call was received for a stabbing incident. Michigan State Police Gladstone Post arrested Hanley in connection with the felonious assault. The victim was later transported to OSF St. Francis Hospital and was treated for injuries.
Hanley is lodged at the Delta County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He was arraigned by video Monday morning, and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing this Thursday at the Delta County District Court.
