The 17-year-old teen charged with breaking and enterings in Dickinson County was sentenced on Tuesday.
Cody Howorth of Norway was facing multiple counts of breaking and entering for crimes in late July and early August. On Tuesday, Howorth was given one year in the county jail with 84 days credit and four years of probation under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act. This will strike the crimes from his record if he follows the probation guidelines.
In court, Howorth said he was willing to accept any punishment and also expressed a desire for a mental health assessment.
