Several individuals were arrested in connection with a series of breaking and enterings in Dickinson County in late July and early August.
Seventeen year-old Cody James Howorth of Norway was charged with three counts of Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent, which is a 10-year felony; six counts of Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, a 5-year felony; 3 counts of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, a 2-year high court misdemeanor; one count of Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing Police, a 2-year felony; and several related misdemeanor charges. Howorth is scheduled to have a preliminary examination on his felony charges on August 28 at 8:30 a.m.
Others charged in connection with these crimes include Jonathan Mitchell, 15, and Jacob Mitchell, 16, both of Williston, North Dakota. They are currently being detained at the Sault Tribe Youth Facility in St. Ignace, Michigan.
Dakota Paquin, age 16, of Quinnesec is also charged in the series of break-ins. He is on an electronic monitoring tether pending proceedings.
These charges stem from various break-ins of garages and vehicles of residents living in Iron Mountain, Kingsford, and Norway.
